What people say
★★★★★

“I've done every personality test going — Myers-Briggs, Enneagram, StrengthsFinder. This is unlike any of them. It actually knew me. Not a type that sounds like me. Me.”

★★★★★

“The part about where my patterns came from stopped me cold. I've been in therapy for two years. This named something my therapist and I hadn't quite landed on yet.”

★★★★★

“Part Three is extraordinary. I've never had a piece of writing hand me so specific a list of things I actually need to do. I've started working through it.”

★★★★★

“The analysis was precise in a way I couldn't have produced myself after years of journalling. Something landed that I'd been trying to name for months.”

Who this is for

Different starting points.
The same depth of analysis.

The SI Companion meets you exactly where you are.

The person of faith
Believes the right things.
Still struggling.

You have a robust faith, a prayer life, community. And yet certain things keep repeating — in your relationships, your responses, your self-talk. You know the theology. The patterns haven't read it.

From their analysis — Part Two

“The belief running beneath your pattern of self-criticism isn't that God is disappointed in you — it's that you are disappointed in yourself for needing grace at all. That's a different problem, and it has a different solution.”

“I am only acceptable when I am performing well.”
Unrelenting Standards · Score 4/5 · Progress already shown
The therapy veteran
Years of work.
Some things haven't moved.

You’ve done the work — probably a lot of it. You have language for your patterns. And there is still something that fires up in certain situations, something that hasn’t shifted the way you expected.

From their analysis — Part Three

“The forgiveness work you've done has been real and significant. What remains isn't unforgiveness in the usual sense — it's a protective decision you made very early, a vow that made sense at the time and is still quietly running.”

“I will never need anyone the way I needed them.”

The person at a crossroads
Something has shifted.
New coordinates needed.

A relationship, a role, a loss, a season ending. You're not who you were. The old frameworks don't quite fit. You want to understand what you're carrying into the next chapter — and what to leave behind.

From their analysis — Part One

“What came through most clearly is that you are someone who has built a rich interior life through exactly the kind of season you are in now. The grief isn't a sign of weakness. It's the signature of someone who loves well.”

Creativity · Introspection · Bravery
Character portrait · Strengths identified
The self-aware sceptic
Done the tests.
None of them stuck.

You know your type, your number, your top five strengths. They were interesting for a week. They didn't change anything because they couldn't tell you what to actually do differently.

From their analysis — Part Two

“You've been told you're an achiever. You already knew that. What you haven't been told is that the drive to achieve formed as a response to an environment where your worth was conditional — and that strategy is still running the equation.”

“If I am not producing something remarkable, I don't count.”

What you receive

Three parts. Each one going deeper.

The analysis is not a summary. It is a document — warm, precise, written for you. Most people read it more than once.

Part One
Who you actually are
Your strengths, your character, and the full landscape of how you are wired — seen clearly, perhaps for the first time.
  • –A written portrait of your character, drawn from the conversation
  • –Up to 24 character strengths identified from how you speak — not how you rate yourself
  • –Personality profile across 27 specific facets — and what they reveal about your patterns
  • –Emotional stability, well-being, and what is driving your current state
  • –What your deepest capacities are — and what has been suppressing them
Part Two
The patterns in your way
Not what you do — what you believe. The beliefs that formed early and are still running.
  • –18 psychological patterns assessed from your conversation
  • –The core limiting belief at the centre of each pattern — in your words
  • –How you cope — and the cost that coping is exacting
  • –Each pattern traced back to where and how it formed
  • –Scored 0–5: where you are now, and how far you have already moved
Part Three
The pathway forward
The section most tools never reach. Specific, personal, actionable.
  • –Forgiveness inventory — the specific debts still being held
  • –The exact limiting beliefs named from your words
  • –Protective strategies identified and addressed
  • –Soul pledges: heart-level commitments that may need to be released
  • –A vision — who you are becoming on the other side of this work
Sample from an actual analysis
Part Two · Pattern analysis
“My worth depends on what others think of me.”
Approval-Seeking · Score 3/5 · Coping: Overcompensation · ↓ 1.0 from earlier in life

You grew up with a mother whose own needs for recognition were so pressing that there wasn’t room for yours — and a father whose own preoccupations meant your emotional life largely went unseen. The result is someone who has become very self-sufficient in meeting his own needs, but who still carries a deep, legitimate longing to have those needs met by another person.

What you needed as a child — to be seen, celebrated, and known — was not too much to ask. It was entirely reasonable. The problem was never the need.

The truth beneath the patternThere is a tenderness aimed specifically at you. Not generic benevolence — particular, attentive care. Your worth was not something you had to earn. It was given before you had done anything at all.
The frameworks behind the analysis

Three best-in-class tools.
One integrated analysis.

Each framework was chosen because it is the best available in its domain. In each case, we go further than the framework alone.

01 · Character strengths
VIA — Values in Action

The VIA framework is the most rigorously validated strengths tool in positive psychology, used by researchers and practitioners worldwide. We use it because it is simply the best available measure of character.

We go further: rather than asking you to rate statements about yourself, the SI Companion identifies your strengths from the conversation — observed from what you value, how you describe others, and what you reach toward. Not self-reported.
02 · Personality
SAPA — Synthetic Aperture Personality Assessment

One of the most scientifically developed personality frameworks available — measuring 27 specific facets across five domains, far more granular than standard five-factor tools.

We go further: connecting your personality profile to your pattern scores, so you can see not just how you are wired, but where your wiring and your history are interacting.
03 · Psychological patterns
Jeffrey Young's pattern research

Among the most influential contributions to modern psychology — identifying eighteen core patterns that form in childhood when core needs go unmet, and persist across a lifetime.

We go further: integrating the pattern analysis with theological reflection and original pastoral research to produce a pathway that addresses not just how you behave, but what you believe — and who you are becoming.
Why this is different

Most assessments tell you who you are.
This one tells you what to do about it.

  1. 01

The limiting belief beneath each pattern — named in your own words

Most assessments identify what you do. This one identifies what you believe that makes you do it. Each pattern comes with its core belief stated precisely, drawn from what you said — and an answering truth written for you, not for everyone.

  2. 02

A detailed action plan — not just insight

Part Three gives you something most tools never reach: a forgiveness inventory. Soul pledges that need releasing. Protective strategies named and addressed. A clear next step. Not a general framework. Your specific work.

  3. 03

Patterns traced back to where they formed

Every pattern is placed in the context of your history. Not "you have this pattern." Rather: where it came from, who was involved, what you decided about yourself — and why that decision made sense at the time.

  4. 04

Unlike every other assessment, this one shows you how far you have already come

Every pattern is scored for where you are now — and where you were earlier in life. For most people, this is the first time anyone has shown them that the work they have done has actually moved something.

  5. 05

    Your strengths observed, not self-reported

Your strengths are identified from the conversation — from what you value, how you describe the people you admire, what you reach for when things are hard. For many people, this is the first time their strengths have been named by something that was actually paying attention.

“

Most self-knowledge stops at description. The Spiritual Intelligence analysis goes further — it names the belief, shows you where it formed, and hands you a way out.

From the preface to Spiritual Intelligence by Mark Wagner
Why this costs what it costs

A questionnaire is free.
A conversation is different.

Most online assessments ask you to rate statements on a scale. The processing is instant because nothing is being processed — you already did the work. The SI Companion is a live, responsive conversation. Generating your analysis requires multiple passes of sophisticated AI reasoning.

  • i

A real conversation, not a form.

The Companion asks follow-up questions, sits with ambiguity, responds to what you actually say. This requires live AI reasoning at a level questionnaires never need.

  • ii

A specialist framework, not a generic AI.

The conversation is built on years of pastoral and psychological research. You are not chatting with a general assistant.

  • iii

    A document worth keeping.

Your analysis is written prose — warm, precise, specific to you. Can save your therapeutic or counselling professional weeks of exploratory work.

Questions

What people ask before they start

Do I need religious faith to benefit from this?

No. The questions the analysis explores are human questions: why do I behave the way I do, what do I believe about myself that isn't true, what am I still carrying? People of faith will find a language for that journey. People without faith will find the same pathway, differently lit.

What psychological framework does this use?

The analysis draws on research into early maladaptive psychological patterns — academic work originally developed by psychologist Jeffrey Young. The Spiritual Intelligence framework integrates this with original pastoral and theological research. This is not schema therapy as a clinical treatment. It is a self-knowledge tool informed by the same research.

I've done therapy for years. Will this give me anything new?

Quite possibly. Several people have reported that the analysis named something their therapist and they hadn't quite reached. The format — a written document you can read, re-read, and bring into a session — often surfaces things that conversation alone doesn't.

How is my conversation data protected?

Your conversation is private. Never shared with third parties, sold, or used to train AI models. Data is held solely to deliver your analysis, in accordance with UK GDPR. Full details: Privacy Policy.

Why is there no free version?

Every conversation requires live AI processing at a level that has a genuine cost. A free version would mean a severely compromised analysis. We offer one price for something complete.

The invitation

The patterns underneath your life have names.
The beliefs can be stated plainly.
The work has a beginning.

Most people spend years circling the same territory. One honest conversation might be the most direct route through it you have found yet.
